14A – Halfway Reflection 1)  Tenaciousness is a competency.  What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?  Balancing work, school and several other extracurricular activities can be a challenge. Especially with all of my classes are online. I have learned that in order to get any work done, I have to leave my apartment. I can’t sit in bed and attempt to work, because it ends up becoming a three hour Netflix binge then a nap. I have developed a habit on my days off to go either to Panera, the library or Starbucks. Really anywhere that does not have a bed. Another small habit I have developed, is writing down my assignments. The beginning of the week I go through all of my classes and see the assignments listed. That way I know how much work I have and to see where I need to focus most of my effort. Using these two tactics, it has kept me afloat and never late on an assignment.   2)  Tenacious...

12A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1 Choosing a Segment: For my segment I chose small bars in my area. All of these bars are not nearly as well known in the college scene. The first place I went to was Boca Resto Lounge. There website needs some updating, but have all of their events for the month posted. The second bar I went to was Moons Tavern an Irish pub. Its only 8 miles from FAU, yet rarely discussed as a go to bar. The last place was Turn 3 Sports bar. They are about 9 miles away, there promotions are not the best and the website needs some improvements. What I learned: Throughout my interviews I learned all three of these bars had somewhat the same strategy for advertising. They would post stuff on social media such as Facebook and twitter and then have their promotions on their website. Other than that they would only do radio ads when they had a big event going on.  Idea Napkin No. 1 1. You.  Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life? o    My name is Kai Heller-Spencer, I just transferred to UF and majoring in finance. My personality type under Hollands code is conventional, realistic and enterprising. Which means I like being organized, use common sense but also take risks. Meaning I do my homework, I research an opportunity, but when I find an excellent opportunity, I go for it. Combing my ability to communicate effectively, and research ability, I create a well-organized presentation that persuades anyone. o       When this business venture comes to fruition, it will overtake my entire life.
